The World’s Completion

1505. Living on a lost island in the middle of the China Sea, Nali, a 17-year-old Malay, sees his tribe exterminated on the day of his marriage. Nali survives but is sold as a slave in Malacca, where he becomes the appointed bodyguard of Princess Teja, aged 8 years old.

A decade later, Nali became a Muslim and an accomplished warrior, serving a mesmerizing Teja. But the capture of Malacca by the Portuguese annihilates once again the course of his life. Teja dies while Nali becomes the slave of a dark and inflexible captain, answering the name of Magellan.

On the way to a new world that seems so far and so terrifying, Nali is now converted to Christianity and bears the name of Enrique. Desolate and destitute of any reference, Nali despairs to see his island again. He does not know yet that his master has just dragged him into one of the greatest adventures in the history of mankind that could allow him to return home. But will he succeed anyway? And will he really want to return home?

Inspired by real events, this story tells the incredible epic of the first man to go around the world: Enrique de Malacca.
